During the journey that Odysseus and his men, I witnessed many things. One thing that Odysseus did that upset me was that he injured and stole from my
son, Polyphemus. Odysseus and his men took food and cattle from my beloved son. As if that wasn't good enough, they had to blind him with a wooden spear. Odysseus told my son that his name was Nohbdy, so that no one would know that he actually blinded my son. This worked because Polyphemus cried, "Nohbody hurt me. Nohbody has blinded me." so nobody thought that he was actually injured. After blurting out his name egoistically, I cursed him and made sure that he would suffer on his journey home. He encountered many hardships, such as Scylla and Charybdis, when his crew was killed. Odysseus was on the sea for twenty years because of me, and I felt no guilt what so ever. He deserved it for making my poor son suffer. Odysseus was just so inconsiderate at that point in time. I just hope that he learned his lesson about how to treat others. I had protected him earlier on his journey by keeping the seas calm for the most part. I let him take his journey on the peaceful seas as he sailed from island to island. I would have thought that Odysseus would have had more respect for Polyphemus after he told them that he was my son, but instead they just laughed in his face.Odysseus got what he deserved on his way home. He had no idea how much he offended me and that is why I punished him the way I did.
